2021 SW District 9-12 Championships News
On February 19-21, eighteen of our swimmers traveled to Virginia Tech for the District Championships. Here is a summary of some of their accomplishments.
9-10 Swimmers: Jed Goby (9), Eliza Hewitt (9), Isaiah Kite( 9), Hayley Mancini (10), Sam Maust (10), Brandon Smith (10)
11-12 Swimmers: Sadie Deeble (11), Lila Gorby (11), James Hewitt (11), Shelby Riggleman (11), Naomi Shafer (11), Claire Crawford (12), Lila Dunham (12), Alison Hooke (12), Jozelyn Kann (12), Allison Ma (12), Kaitlyn Moseley (12), Adrianna Suttell (12)
Of the 98 races 6 were first time swims. Of the remaining 92 swims 84% were best times. In total there were 291 dropped seconds with an average drop of 3% per race. Fantastic! There were a bunch of new time cuts achieved. Also a total of 17 new Age Group cuts made - WOW!!! Those new motivaltional cuts for the swimmers are called out in the graphic below.
Hardware Recap: 55 out of the 98 swims placed (top 16). Within those, 39 were in the top 10 and 21 were in the top 3. We also had 10 District Champions! Here is a special shout out to all of those gold medal swims. Great job, Gators!
