2021 GATR Summer Classic Meet - Long Course

From June 18 - June 20, thirty-five of our swimmers attended a local meet in Waynesboro, VA for the GATR Summer Classic Meet (long course), hosted by one of our fellow Gator teams.  Our 35 swimmers swam a total of 212 events over the course of 3 days. 52 of these races were first time swims. Parents were able to watch on deck again (yay!) and the weather was beautifull all weekend. 

8/under Swimmers: Elias Kite (7), Harper Mancini (6), and Claire Maust (8)

9-10 Swimmers: Igor Dmytriyev (9), Jed Gorby (9), Eliza Hewitt (9), and Isaiah Kite (9)

11-12 Swimmers: Sadie Deeble (12), Boris Dmytriyev (11), Lila Dunham (12), Lila Gorby (12), James Hewitt (11), Hayley Mancini (11), Samuel Maust (11), Naomi Shafer (11), Brandon Smith (11), and Chenghao Yang (12)

13-14 Swimmers: Molly Beckwith (14), Rachel Bing (14), Rebecca Couric (13),  Julia Dunham (14), Tessa Gorby (14), Davis Hinkle (13), and Madison Keller (13) 

15/older Swimmers: Mia Constantin (18), Lydia Couric (15), Zoe Deeble (15), Lada Dmytriyev (15), Sarah Dunham (15), Mia Flory (15), Phineas Kasten (17), Marshall Smith (15), Will St. John (17), Isaac Wenger (15), and Alexia Wright (16)

44 of our swimmers placed in the top three in 31 different events, with 116 overall top 10 placements:  WAY TO GO!!

There were FIFTY-NINE new motivational cuts achieved from B through AAA.  Those swims and swimmers are called out below. We look forward to seeing continued improvement in our upcoming meets for the remainder of the long course season. Keep up the good work!
