2021-22 Southwest District 8 & Under Championship Meet | Short Course

From February 12-13, eleven of our youngest swimmers traveled to Charlottesville for the 2021-22 SW District 8/Under Championship meet, ready to show off all their hard work from this season.

8/under Swimmers: Lucille Caldwell (8), Silas Dameron (8), Graham Ebersold (8), Camille Jerlinski (8), Huck Kann (8), Elias Kite (7), Bryson Long (7), Harper Mancini (6), Coleman Skelly (7), Georgia Thornton (8), and Kaimbrie Zook (8)

These eleven swimmers competed in a total of 75 events over the course of two days as well as participated in four relays; six of these races were first time swims, and 43 were best times. In addition, a total of 121.71 seconds were dropped (three swimmers dropped over 10% of their seed time)! 

 

 

17 of our swimmers placed in the top ten and Huck Kann placed in the top three in FOUR different events - Great job, everyone!! 

There were four new B motivational cuts achieved as well. Those swims and swimmers are called out below.  Keep up the great work!
