2022 Virginia Swimming Short Course All Star Team

Virginia Swimming has shared the compilation of top ten swims for each age group and stroke. Two of our Harrisonburg Gator swimmers were named as part of the 2022 Virginia Swimming Short Course All Star Team: Lila Gorby and James Hewitt. To qualify, swimmers must finish the season with one of the top 5 fastest times in the LSC in any event in their age group.

Lila ranked 5th for the season in the 11/12 Girls 1000 Free and the 200 Back; she also ranked in the top 10 in the 500 free, 100 back, 100 IM, and the 200 IM. 

James ranked 5th for the season in the 11/12 Boys 100 Breast; he also ranked in the top 10 in the 50 breast, 200 breast, and the 100 IM. 

Seven more of our swimmers also ranked in the top ten, some just missing the 5th place spot. Congratulations to these swimmers as well:

  • Zachary Erb - 17/18 Boys 100 Breast, 200 Breast, and 200 IM
