2022 Virginia Swimming Age Group Championship Meet Results | Long Course

Eight of our 14/younger swimmers competed at the 2022 Virginia Swimming Long Course Age Group Championship meet held in Christiansburg, VA from July 21 - July 24, 2022. This was a qualifying meet, so each of our swimmers earned cuts from the following time standards. 

Congratulations to Tommy Bill (14), Igor Dmytriyev (10), Jed Gorby (10), Eliza Hewitt (10), James Hewitt (12), Isaiah Kite (10), Claire Maust (9), and Naomi Shafer (12) for their hard work to attend this meet.

Finals each evening followed a different theme - from 80s night, a Western theme, and Green Out - and the kids overwhelmingly showed their team spirit! 

Our eight swimmers competed in a total of 57 races over the course of three days as well as participated in several relays, with 17 best times. In addition, a total of 39.7 seconds were dropped (an average drop of 2.34% per race).

19 of our swimmers placed in the top ten and 4 swims were in the top 3- great job!! 

There were additionally 9 motivational cuts achieved - 1 AAAA, 5 AAA, and 3 A. Those swims and swimmers are called out below.
