2022 Friendly City Kickoff Meet | Short Course
We had an BEAUTIFUL weekend to kickoff the 2022-23 short couse season at the Friendly City Kickoff meet at Westover. Out of the 261 registered swimmers from nearby teams (BASS, SMAC, Charlottesville Gators, Roanoke Gators, and a few independent swimmers), 101 of the swimmers were from the Harrisonburg team. That is such a great turnout!

Did we mention there were 101 swimmers from our team on deck? And SO MANY first time swims as well!
Our 101 swimmers competed in a total of 402 events between the Saturday and Sunday sessions, with 128 first time swims and 111 best times. A total of 452.31 seconds were dropped overall!

There were forty-three motivational cuts achieved as well from B through AA (find the motivational cut standards here). Those swims and swimmers are called out below. You all did a great job and congratulations to those who had their first swims as Gators!
