2023 Virginia Swimming Age Group Championship Meet Results | Short Course

Nine of our 14/younger swimmers competed at the 2023 Virginia Swimming Short Course Age Group Championship meet held the new aquatics center in Hampton, VA from March 9 - March 12, 2023. This was a qualifying meet, so each of our swimmers earned cuts from the following time standards. 

Congratulations to  Igor Dmytriyev, Jed Gorby, Lila Gorby, James Hewitt, Elias Kite, Isaiah Kite, Caelee Long, Claire Maust, and Sam Maust on their hard work to attend this meet. Special thanks to Anna Paradise and Eliza Hewitt for helping out in relays as well!

Each night during finals followed a different theme for the Gators team - and the kids didn't disappoint! From being nerds/geeks to going all out in Gator green, everyone was on board.

Our nine swimmers competed in a total of 36 races over the course of three days as well as participated in several relays, with 21 best times. In addition, a total of 41.04 seconds were dropped (an average drop of 2.1% per race) - every little bit counts!

Great job to all of our swimmers! 

There were additionally 7 motivational cuts achieved - 1 AAA and 6 AA. Those swims and swimmers are called out below.
