2023 Speedo Eastern Zones Sectionals Meet Results | Short Course

Six of our swimmers competed at the 2023 Speedo Eastern Zone Sectionals meet held in Christiansburg, VA from March 23 - March 26, 2023. This was a qualifying meet, so each of these swimmers earned cuts from the following time standards. 


 

Congratulations to Lydia Couric, Kaleb Erb, Zachary Erb, Tessa Gorby, Dylan King, and Cole Martin for their hard work in achieving the cuts in order to attend this meet!

Two of our swimmers made Futures cuts while at Sectionals (you can read more about Futures cuts in this post HERE). Zachary Erb swam a 1:52.30 SCY in the 200 Back (Futures cut is 1:52.79), dropping 0.60 off his best time. Tessa Gorby swam a 23.92 SCY in the 50 Free (Futures cut is 24.09) during a swim-off, dropping  0.34 off her best time. 

  

Our six swimmers competed in a total of 25 races over the course of three days with six best times. There were additionally 2 AAA motivational cuts achieved along with the 2 Futures cuts. Those swims and swimmers are called out below.
