2023 Great Community Give

For the 2023 Great Community Give, our BIG goal was to not only have the most donors during the 1-2pm power hour, but to secure a top three spot for number of donors in the small non-profit category and reach 200 donors. 

You all knocked it out of the park! From 1-2pm there were 174 individual donations made, which resulted in our team winning $1,250 in bonus prize money. 

Over the course of the day, we had exactly 200 donors (that was the goal) and placed SECOND out of 95 small-profits. Hopefully you all realize what an incredible feat that is!! Our second place finish won us another $4,000 in prize money. 

The money raised during the Great Community Give allows us to keep our overhead costs down as well as provide scholarships for underprivilged swimmers in our community, helping children gain confidence in swimming through both our clinics and the year-round program. 

As a community, the Great Community Give raised over $2 MILLION for 148 local non-profits this year. So many amazing organizations will benefit from the generosity of not just you all, but the community as a whole. THANK YOU!

After all is totaled, our team donated $3,610 and won $5,250 in additional funding. Every single $10 donation made a HUGE difference.

We appreciate all the local businesses that helped The Community Foundation of Harrisonburg/Rockingham County put on the Great Community Give.
