2023 Friendly City Kickoff Meet | Short Course

After a lot of reshuffling, we managed to have our first meet and start the 2023-24 short course season at the Friendly City Kickoff meet at Westover. We had a great turnout, despite the weather issues, from SMAC, Roanoke Gators, Storm, and our team. Thank you so much to the families that stepped in last minute to volunteer and helped the meet run smoothly!

 

Our 80 swimmers competed in a total of 296 events on Sunday, with 64 first time swims and 137 best times. A total of 761.54 seconds were dropped overall. That's absolutely amazing!!

There were thirty-eight motivational cuts achieved as well from B through A (find the motivational cut standards here). Those swims and swimmers are called out below.  You all did a great job and congratulations to those who had their first swims as Gators!
