2024 Virginia Swimming Age Group Championship Meet Results | Short Course

Nine of our 14/younger swimmers competed at the 2024 Virginia Swimming Short Course Age Group Championship meet in Christiansburg, VA from March 7 - March 10, 2024. This was a qualifying meet, so each of our swimmers earned cuts from the following time standards. 

Congratulations to Igor Dmytriyev, Vivienne Hess, Eliza Hewitt, James Hewitt, Elias Kite, Isaiah Kite, Will Richardson and Naomi Shafer for achieving their cuts. Special thanks to Anna Paradise, Brently Riner, and Brandon Smith who traveled down to help us round out our relay teams - assisting our team in earning points in relays!

Our nine swimmers competed in a total of 45 races over the course of three days as well as participated in several relays, with 23 best times. In addition, a total of 76.28 seconds were dropped (an average drop of 1.95% per race) - every little bit counts!

Great job to all of our swimmers! 

Additionally, there were 10 motivational cuts achieved - 1 AAAA, 5 AAA, and 4 AA. Those swims and swimmers are called out below.
