2024 VSI Summer Awards Championship Meet | Long Course

This year we had twenty-four of our long course swimmers compete in the 2024 VSI Summer Awards Championship meet in Lynchburg. We even had a brand new swimmer on deck and a whole lot of swimmers working toward personal best times, USA Swimming motivational cut,s and last minute Age Group Champs qualifying times. 

Some great swims and cuts all around! The kids have been training hard this summer and their time and hard work paid off! Lots of encouragement between the Harrisonburg and Roanoke sites and even more fun on deck! 

Swimmers on Deck: Olivia Dameron, Silas Dameron, Boris Dmytriyev, Igor Dmytriyev, Yarek Dobrynin, Kaleb Erb, Sebby Hess, Vivie Hess, Elize Hewitt, James Hewitt, Alison Hooke, Madison Keller, Lily Kistler, Maggie Kistler, Isaiah Kite, Liam McMahon, Emma Nylander, Jake Nylander, Sophia Papa, Will Richardson, Brandon Smith, Isobel Tran, Georgiana Wade, and Joe Yang.

Our twenty-four swimmers competed in a total of 115 races over the course of three days with more than half of them (67 to be exact) as best timesIn addition, and a total of 456.47 seconds were dropped! 

21 of our swimmers placed in the top eight and 11 of those placed in the top three, including SIX first place finishes - Great job, everyone!! 

There were 35 motivational cuts achieved from AA through B. Those swims and swimmers are called out below. In addition, there were 9 age group or senior champs qualifying times. Motivational tags will be handed out by coaches soon. You all did AMAZING!
