8 & Unders Crushed District Champs!!! From February 6-7, nine swimmers traveled to Charlottesville to show off their hard work in the pool. Here is a summary of some of their accomplishments. Swimmers: Harper Mancini (5), Elias Kite (6), Bryson Long (6), Lucille Caldwell (7), Huck Kann (7), Igor Dmytriyev (8), Cealee Long (8), Claire Maust (8), Anna Paradise (8) There were 47 legal swims. Of the 47 races 11 were first time swims. Of the remaining 36 swims, 78% were best times! In total there were 114 dropped seconds...

Eight swimmers from the Harrisonburg Gators were able to compete in this year's Virginia Swimming Senior Championships hosted in Richmond Virginia early this March. Sarah Arnold, Mia Constantin, Ryan Deavers, Zoe Deeble, Aiden Dupuis, Zachary Erb, Nathan Smith, Eliza Thompson all had solid swims throughout the competition. This past weekend, the Virginia Gators of Harrisonburg had 34 swimmers compete in the Blue Ridge Region - SW District Championship meet in Christiansburg Virginia. We were able to see time improvements across the board from the participants. Special shoutout out to Tommy Bill for scoring 133 points, which is the highest point total in the men's category for the Virginia Gators across the Charlottesville, Roanoke, and Harrisonburg sites. Great swims from everyone in this meet. We look forward to carrying this momentum into the rest of the championship season!
