2022 STAR Triad Tropic | Short Course From December 16-18, fifty-one of our swimmers made the trip to Greensboro, NC, along with our Charlottesville and Roanoke teams, for the 2022 STAR Triad Tropic held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. During the month of October, our team, alongside the Roanoke and Charlottesville Gators, hosted a fundraiser to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (bcrf.org). Through special tshirts, pink caps, and private donations, our three teams combined donated a total of $3,890 - $1,700 in individual donations and $2,190 through shirts and caps. 2022 Friendly City Kickoff Meet | Short Course We had an BEAUTIFUL weekend to kickoff the 2022-23 short couse season at the Friendly City Kickoff meet at Westover. Out of the 261 registered swimmers from nearby teams (BASS, SMAC, Charlottesville Gators, Roanoke Gators, and a few independent swimmers), 101 of the swimmers were from the Harrisonburg team. The Virginia Swimming All Star Team list was recently released and four of our swimmers were named as a part of the Long Course team: Zachary Erb, Eliza Hewitt, James Hewitt, and Isaiah Kite.
